About Darb Egypt
Egypt as you've never seen it
Darb Egypt is a guide to places and experiences across Egypt. We give each place concise historical context, explain what you will see, and provide the practical information you need before visiting.
What we believe
- 01
We look where others don’t
Egypt is full of places nobody asks about: houses, sabils, workshops and streets that still carry living history. We find them and set them beside the famous sites, to draw a true picture of Egypt.
- 02
We go ourselves
We visit places in person and record what we see: hours, prices, where to enter and the rules of the visit, and we note on the page when we last checked it.
- 03
We show places as they are
Real photographs without exaggeration, a short telling of each place, and practical details that let you decide and plan before you leave home.
- 04
Memories, not just visits
We want you to live the Egyptian experience in full: to know where to go, to understand what you see, and to come back with a story worth telling.
How we work
- 1We choose the place
A list of well-known and little-known places in every city.
- 2We visit in person
A form for every visit: access, hours, tickets, photography, families.
- 3We check and photograph
Every detail is reviewed, and the photos show the place honestly.
- 4We publish and update
Each page carries its verification date, and we return whenever something changes.
Where we are heading
We are building a complete guide to Egypt, place by place and city by city. Beyond places, we hope to offer experiences that express Egyptian culture: the countryside, the sea, the crafts, and the stories you will not find in guidebooks.
